A Christmas Message From SAS (12/20/2020)
As we count our blessings and anticipate the arrival of baby Jesus this season of Advent, we celebrate our congregation and friends who make PoP who we are - SENT: Called to be Church for the World. We are most grateful for the generous support of members and friends.
Thus far in our 2021 Stewardship campaign - through Statements of Intent and donations - we have received $8,100, which is 50% of our goal of $16,200 ($312/week). It's not too late! If you haven't sent in your Statement of Intent, please do before year-end - no matter if you're increasing your giving, decreasing or staying the same - we'd like to have your Statement of Intent for our records. Thank you to all those who have already turned one in - your generosity is much appreciated.
May You be Blessed with Good Health and the Love of Family this Christmas Season. May 2021 be filled with Joy and much Hope for a year of change and new beginnings.
Merry Christmas!
Your Stewardship Team
SAS Letter (11/20/2020)
Our 2021 Stewardship campaign - SENT: Called to be Church for the World - will culminate on Sunday, November 22nd when the congregation is invited to drive through the church parking lot between 11am and 2pm to deliver their Statement of Intent where the Stewardship Team will be there to receive it. Or it can be mailed to the church office.
Our hope is that offerings will increase by $16,200 ($312/week) or more in order that our new and essential Ministry Initiatives will be met. Our three Ministry Initiatives for 2021 are: Digital Outreach, Caring for the Earth, and Loving Our Neighbors. You may read details about each one below.
We hope you will prayerfully consider increasing your offering in the coming year. Your offering - whatever amount you give - will be greatly appreciated.
There is much we hope to accomplish in the coming year - more ways to increase our reach and impact, and more ways to embody God's love in the world. Your generosity will help us attain these goals.
God's Peace and Abundant Love,
Your Stewardship Team

SAS Appeal Letter (10/26/2020)
Dear Friends in Christ,
“SENT: Called to be Church for the World” is the theme for our fall Stewardship Appeal. We chose it because it encompasses the heart of our ministry in Cache Valley and the beyond. God calls us to be His people, gifts us with His grace, and sends us to share it with those whom we encounter every day. Our gifts and our work for God's kingdom are part of our grateful response to the gift of God’s grace in Jesus Christ.
In the weeks ahead you will hear more about our exciting plans for ministry in 2021. Proclaimer articles; flyers on the website, sent via email and snail mail; stewardship talks; letters, and a brochure will tell you more of our exciting mission in the coming year. This is a mission that we all work toward together as we join with one another in giving generously in support of these mission goals.
As part of the Stewardship for All Seasons program, you will be invited by letter to consider increasing your offering for the coming year. Please pray faithfully about this request and consider giving generously as the Lord leads you.
On November 22, we will observe Stewardship Sunday by presenting our Statements of Intent. You are welcome to mail your Statement of Intent to the church office or to drive through the church parking lot on November 22, where I and members of the SAS team will be waiting to receive your pledges.
During the week following Stewardship Sunday, we will contact everyone from whom we haven’t received a response, to insure that everyone has the opportunity to present their offering plan for the coming year.
Thank you for being part of Prince of Peace. Thank you for considering how God is sending you out, calling forth your gifts, so that we may embody God's good news to the world. Please pray for our work together as we continue to seek to live in the love of God and in the service of our neighbors.
Peace be with each of you.
Sincerely,
Pastor Emily Kuenker

As we move forward with our 2021 Stewardship campaign - SENT: Called to be Church for the World - we'd like to update you on last year's Ministry Initiatives:
- Enhancing Our Image - the signage is on our building, so now everyone will know who and where we are!
- Caring for the Earth - we now have a contract to install a water meter (irrigation submeter). It possibly could be installed this fall before the ground freezes, but most likely it will be spring before they can install it.
- Supporting the Community - we have monies to give to the Logan Pride Center, as set forth in our third initiative for 2020, but, at this time, they have currently suspended activity. So, SAS and Council will be investigating options for supporting organizations that could use financial support now. More information forthcoming.
